Kollywood’s new favourite couple Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan tied the knot on Thursday morning at a resort in Mahabalipuram. The star-studded guest list included actors like Shahrukh Khan, Rajnikanth and Ajith.
The actor-director couple have been dating for more than six years. Nayanthara confirmed her engagement to the director last year during the promotion of her film Netrikan.
A few days ago, the couple’s virtual invitation had gone viral on social media. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala had shared the photo of Nayanthara and Vignesh inviting Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin for the wedding.
Superstar Shahrukh Khan, who recently recovered from Covid 19, attended the wedding. His manager Pooja Dadlani shared the information on Instagram. The post was captioned, “For Nayanthara’s Special Day.” SRK is dressed in a beige attire and sunglasses.

Shahrukh Khan and Nayanthara will be seen working together in Atlee Kumar‘s film Jawan. SRK recently posted a teaser of the film on Instagram. His post was captioned, “Bringing #Jawan to you, an explosive entertainer in cinemas, 2nd June 2023 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannad.”
The teaser has more than 7,291,683 views and 11,722,634 likes. Comments include, “This is gonna be big”, “Can’t wait for 2023… It’s going to be the Shahrukh Year.”
Atlee Kumar also shared a picture with SRK and Pooja Dadlani on his Instagram handle as the three attended the wedding.

This will be the actor’s first film with either Atlee or Nayanthara. Rumours of the collaboration had been around for a while and the actors have now confirmed that they will be working together in the multilingual release.
Other big names in the industry such as Kamal Hassan, Chiranjeevi, Suriya, Karthi and Vijay Sethupathi attended the wedding.
