Vijaya Ekadashi celebration is associated with worshiping lord Vishnu. The day is observed on a particular date, which is decided according to the moon. The devotees and other people fast on this day that has fallen on March 9 in 2021.
Vijaya’s meaning is victory and it is believed that in order to achieve something or conquer and attain happiness and success in life, one should fast on this day.
It is an important day for people as on Vijaya Ekadashi it is believed that lord Sri Ram fasted as well to cross the sea (Indian Ocean) by creating a bridge and reach Lanka to rescue his wife Sita from Ravana.
