Singer-songwriter Palash Sen has in an Instagram video message urged Virat Kohli to reconsider his decision to step down as India’s Test cricket captain.

In the 45-second video, Sen asks Kohli to think about fans who love him. Sen also requests BCCI President Sourav Ganguly to clear things up with Kohli.

The video is captioned: “All is not well with Indian Cricket…Sourav da, you know better than me how to make things right.. And Virat, unbreak our hearts bro! Aise nahi yaar.. Haar Na Maan Na!”

The video went viral in no time and has been viewed by more than 45,000 viewers. Social media users commented, wishing Kohli would listen to Sen. “Wish he could listen to us,” one user commented. “Same feeling sir,” replied another.

Palash Sen is an Indian singer, songwriter, musician, composer, and actor. He is the founder and frontman of India’s rock/pop band Euphoria. Sen’s first composition was ‘Heaven on the Seventh Floor’, which was an ode to his college hostel room.

Over the years, Sen has collaborated with musicians and composers on songs and has featured in songs like Zindagi, Mauka and Candywalk. He is married to Shalini Sen, a lecturer at Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi, and the couple have two children. 

Virat Kohli has announced that he will step down as India’s T20I captain after the conclusion of the upcoming T20 World Cup. However, hw wants to continue as Test and ODI captain. He announced this decision on Twitter, saying he made it with his workload as a three-format player, and that he had already discussed it with BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, secretary Jay Shah, and the selectors. BCCI is yet to name a successor but Rohit is likely to be the next captain.
