Indian batting legend Virender Sehwag took to social media urging Shane Warne to frame a fan’s tweet that asked the Aussie to ‘understand spin’. The tweet was ironic for Warne has 708 Test wickets in 145matches against his name, making him one of the best spinners in cricket’s history.

Shane Warne, on Saturday, tweeted to show disappointment at New Zealand not picking a spinner in their plying 11 for the World Test Championship final at Southampton.

“Very disappointed in Nz not playing a spinner in the #ICCWorldTestChampionship as this wicket is going to spin big with huge footmarks developing already. Remember if it seems it will spin. India make anything more than 275/300! The match is over unless weather comes in !” Warne tweeted.

To this, a Twitter user commented asking Warne if he understands how spin works.

“Shane do you understand how spin works? The pitch gets dry… this pitch won’t get dry because for the rest of the test, there is due to be rain,” he tweeted.

Sehwag highlighted the ‘understand some spin’ tweet and wrote,”Frame this, @ShaneWarne and try to understand some spin” followed by a laughing emoji.

New Zealand went with four frontline pacers in the WTC final. Left-arm spinner Ajaz Patel was left out of the playing 11. After winning the toss and choosing to bowl first, the Kiwis picked three wickets as India scored 164 runs in 64.4 overs at stumps. Bad light stopped the play. Virat Kohli (44) and Ajinkya Rahane (29) were still on the crease. Boult, Jamieson and Wagner picked up a wicket each.
