Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman recently shared the funny reason behind Harbhajan Singh’s jersey number. Needless to say, jersey numbers are important for sportspersons and almost always there is a story behind them. Laxman shared the story behind Singh’s jersey number that dates back to 1999.

It was Laxman’s first tour to Australia for an ongoing test match and a limited series that was going to start after that. It was during that time that the manager was asking them what numbers they would like to have on their jersey. It was then that Singh said that he would like to have the number of the Air India flight through which they would be coming back to India.
