Bollywood actor Amir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan, who has opened about her battle with depression in the past, on Wednesday shared how she is feeling burnt out after gaining “recent stability” on her Instagram account.

Ira had previously shared that she was diagnosed with clinical depression over four years ago, according to Indian Express.

Sharing the video on Wednesday, Ira wrote in the caption, “Me: So now what? Therapist: I don’t know. There are lots of parts to me. This is conflict between two of them that very seriously effects my attempts at healing from my overall depression.”

She added, ”

But the burn outs are getting longer so now I have to try harder. The plan is to reduce the frequency and intensity of my burn outs. I don’t need to change my entire being and functioning. Working a lot isn’t a bad thing, trying to do a lot isn’t a bad thing – not always. There’s a point after which it gets unhealthy. That’s what I need to find. That balance. Because working also brings me joy.”

In her video, she talked about trying to find a balance in her life while battling depression. She said, “A few weeks ago I started to feel better from burn out, at least I started to regain some stability in my life, and normalcy. And, I was talking to someone and I was like — even now there is a part in me that doesn’t believe, that thinks that I’m overreacting, and it’s because of the way my depression manifests itself.”

She added, “I don’t harm myself, I don’t do drugs, I don’t have loads of coffee, I don’t have immediate threats to my life, that’s not how my depression manifests.”
