In  some earlier news, The Kerala Police have used the Tamil Nadu Special Police (TSP) to help maintain law and order in the violence-plagued Palakkad area, where a PFI and an RSS activist were both assassinated within 24 hours last week. Inter-state police deployment is mainly restricted to general elections and violence with statewide repercussions. TSP troops are currently being deployed at a time when the state police are being chastised for allegedly failing to prevent back-to-back murders.
