Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is in a hospital after testing positive for coronavirus, says that washing his own clothes during quarantine has worked better than physiotherapy for his hand that was operated upon recently.

In a video shared by new agency ANI, the 61-year-old chief minister, while talking to his ministers via video conference, said, “Since I am COVID-19 positive and nobody can wash my clothes due to the infection, I have been washing clothes myself. This has benefited me a lot. Earlier, even after several physiotherapy sessions, I wasn’t able to clench my fist as my hand was recently operated uppn, but now it is perfectly fine.”

Talking about the lessons learnt from this, Chouhan said that we should all keep on doing out chores ourselves to stay fit.

Chouhan tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday and took to twitter to announce it . “After displaying coronavirus symptoms, my test results have come positive. I request all those who have come in contact with me to get a test done too,” Chauhan posted on his official Twitter account.

“I am following all COVID-19 guidelines and have quarantined myself as per the advice of the doctors…I will be participating in the daily COVID19 review meeting via video conferencing,” the MP chief minister added. In another tweet, the chief minister said that if detected and treated on time, COVID-19 infection can be cured.

“I have been reviewing the status of coronavirus infection in the state every evening since March 25. Now I will try to review the situation through video conferencing as much as possible,” he said.
