West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was on Tuesday seen serving tea at a tea stall in Nandigram, where she is contesting from in the upcoming assembly elections, reported ANI.

In the video circulating on social media, Banerjee is seen in her usual white attire pouring the tea from a saucepan in six-seven paper cups through a strainer at a roadside stall.

This is however, not the first time that the Trinamool Congress leader is seen making tea. She was seen making as well as serving tea to locals at Digha in 2019, reported NDTV.

Banerjee is pitted against former TMC minister Suvendu Adhikari, who joined the BJP and is contesting in the elections from the Nandigram constituency.

Launching her poll campaign for the Nandigram seat, Banerjee on Tuesday chanted shlokas of ‘Chandipath’ on the stage and said, “Om Jayanti Mangala Kali Bhadrakali Kapalini, Durga Kshama Shiva Dhatri Swaha Swadha Namoastutte. They are insulting the sacred Nandigram movement and playing the communal card. People of Nandigram will make BJP ‘April fool’ on April 1 during the polling.”
