Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived on Saturday in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad. He visited the Zydus Biotech Park to review the development of COVID-19 vaccine candidate ZyCOV-D.

In a video shared by news agency ANI, Modi was seen inside the Zydus Biotech facility. He wore a protective gown and a mask but didn’t wear gloves. 

He was accompanied by officials, who were seen showing the PM around.

Modi is in the first leg of his three-stop tour on Saturday to inspect the development of COVID-19 vaccines. 

He’ll also visit Bharat Biotech’s facility in Hyderabad and Serum Institute of India (SII) in Pune.
