Shaheen Afridi was the star of the match when the Pakistan cricket team inflicted a heavy defeat on their arch-rivals India led by Virat Kohli. The match was played at the Dubai International Stadium on October 24. The pacer recorded figures of 3/31 in four overs and sent waves of terror through the top order of the Men in Blue.

Afridi successfully dismissed the likes of KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma during the early stages of the innings as well as took the wicket of Indian skipper Virat Kohli near the innings’ end. The Pakistanis have managed to maintain a perfect win record in the Super 12 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup 202 after winning all their five matches in the first round.

Babar Azam’s side will face the Australian side led by Aaron Finch in the semi-final on Thursday. The winner will face New Zealand, which beat England to book a berth in the final.

The Men in Blue were the favourites to win the trophy, but notched up consecutive losses in their first two games of the group stage against New Zealand and Pakistan. While they managed dominant victories over Scotland, Afghanistan and Namibia, these were not good enough for a place in the semi-finals.

Shaheen Afridi looked to be in a good mood during Pakistan’s last Super 12 game against Scotland on Sunday by when the team had already qualified for the next round.

Fielding near the boundary, Shaheen engaged with the crowd by re-enacting the way in which he dismissed India’s trio of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli.

In the viral video fans in the crowd are seen shouting the name of Rohit, and Afridi is seen responding by mocking an lbw dismissal, which was the way the Indian opener was given out.

This was followed by chants of Rahul, which were met with another re-enactment from the bowler.

However, the crowd was not satisfied and demanded Afridi re-enact Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s dismissal. Afridi played a mock pull shot, the shot that Kohli lost his wicket to.
