The Test series in Ahmedabad have not been great for England. They’ve faced problems with the pitch and have also been losing a series they were confident about winning. The team, that is lead by captain Joe Root, is going through a low currently. And, if that was not enough, in today’s match a small mishap also hurt Joe Root, where it hurts the most.
The captain, who was batting, was facing Axar Patel in that over. It was the fifth ball that Root hit. However, Virat Kohli, the captain of the Indian team came towards the ball, picked it, and tried throwing it towards Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper. Instead of reaching Pant, the ball bounced and hit Root in the groin area who tried spreading his legs to let the ball pass through.
