40 CRPF soldiers were martyred on February 14, 2019  in the Pulwama terror attack when a JEM suicide bomber clashed his car full of explosives into an army convoy. 

Ever since that day, all the citizens of the country observe February 14 as Black Day every year. 

February 14, 2022 marks 3 years of the Pulwama terror attack, when 40 Indian jawaans were martyred in one of the most horrifying terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.

The attack was claimed by Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), several days later. 

A team of 12 members, dispatched by the National Investigation Agency to look into the Pulwama terror attack worked with the Jammu and Kashmir police.

Investigations suggested the car had more than 300 kilograms (660 lb) of explosives, including 80 kilograms (180 lb) of RDX, a high explosive and ammonium nitrate.

The blast ruined so many families that country started observing February14 as Black Day.
