Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be the tenth instalment
of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s phase four.

It is expected to release in 2023 and
the fans are already speculating on the storyline.

By the time the film hits
theatres, the MCU’s timeline will have caught up with the film series.

The film’s director James Gunn seemed to be in a good mood
when he revealed the details of the upcoming film in a flurry of tweets while
replying to several questions put up by the fans.

A fan asked the director about the movie’s timeline and it
appears like the Vol. 3 will be set in the present.

This wasn’t the only information that James let slip. When responding
to a fan asking about Groot, he hinted that the viewers will get to watch a
more mature version of a character loved by everyone.

However, he remained tight lipped on the film’s plot one
things that is known is that the series will be getting MCU’s first ever
holiday special.

A Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special will be show
simultaneously with the film and fans will need to watch it to gain some context
for the happenings in Vol. 3.

Now that a holiday special has been announced the fans are
itching to get more information on it but the filmmaker has been very discreet
about its details.
