Amazon Quiz: Which ancient kingdom constructed these structures?
Judea
Egypt
Nabataea
Answer: Nabataea
The Nabataeans were historically known for their skills as traders, and are known to have facilitated commerce between China, India, Egypt, Syria, Greece and Rome. They dealt with a wide assortment of goods including spices, gold, incense, animals, copper, iron, sugar, ivory, medicines, perfumes and fabrics, among a few.
They were annexed by Roman Empire and later converted to Christianity. The empire was kept as one province rather than being split up, and the capital was at Bostra.
Though they were Arabian nomads, Nabataeans were keen settlers and came up with sophisticated water harvesting technologies, allowing them to build a thriving settlement in a desert.
