New Zealand pacer Adam Milne received his Mumbai Indians cap from skipper Rohit Sharma at Chepauk on Saturday. The 29-year-old will be seen in action against the Sunrisers Hyderabad as the Sharma brought him in for South African all-rounder Marco Jansen.

In 110 T20 matches, Milne has picked 107 wickets at an economy of 7.69. Mumbai bought the express pacer after he presented a strong display in the Big Bash League 2021 for the Sydney Thunders.

The right-arm bowler also made a national comeback for New Zealand against Bangladesh, where he picked three wickets in two matches. He was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 3.25 crore in the 2021 auctions.

After being asked about his BBL season and objective to make into the Kiwi team for the T20 World Cup, Milne told ESPN cricinfo,” I’d love to get back and play for New Zealand in T20 and one-day cricket, and if the chance arose and I was healthy and playing, then Test cricket would be amazing as well. I’ll just take each game as it comes. But playing for New Zealand is still the dream.”

With Mumbai, Milne will join the team’s regular duo Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah.
