Actor Vaishali Takkar was found dead in her house on Sunday. Her body was found hanging in her home, following which, a case was filed at Tejaji Nagar police station. A suicide note was recovered from the scene. Takkar had been residing in Indore since 2021. Dr. Abhinandan Singh is her former fiance.

Who is Dr. Abhinandan Singh?

Abhinandan Singh Hundal, born between 1990 and 1993, is a dentist from East Africa who also works as a model, media personality, and business owner. He was also the Mr. Uganda winner. He became well-known in India after he got engaged to Vaishali Takkar, a well-known television star in India.

Vaishali Takkar, who acted in Sasural Simar Ka, had shared pictures of her roka ceremony on her Instagram. They had met via a matrimonial portal. 

Takkar had mentioned to the Times Of India that arranged marriage was never on her mind and her mother had opened her profile on the matrimonial site where she came across Singh. She wanted to get married to an NRI if she had to choose a partner through a matrimonial site. She rejected a number of profiles but finally agreed to choose Singh. 

The Sasural Simar Ka actor had shared pictures of her roka ceremony on her Instagram account in April 2021. However, their wedding, which was supposed to be held in June 2021, got cancelled. She deleted the pictures of her engagement ceremony from her Instagram profile after that.

In an ETTimes interview, she had revealed the reason behind the cancellation of her wedding. According to her, as the country was going through the second wave of Covid-19 at that time, she did not feel it was the right time to get married. She was not in a “mood to celebrate” while people all over the country were dying and suffering. On being asked if she would get married in 2022, she said that she would if things were better. 

It’s unknown if the actor’s choice to take her own life was influenced by difficulties in her relationship with Singh.
