Kartik Aaryan is one of the successful actors in Bollywood who has found his own footing in the industry despite being an outsider. The actor got prominence with films like ‘Pyar Ka Punchnama’ and ‘Pyar Ka Punchnama 2’ in which his monologues became an instant hit and connected well with the millennials. His next film ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ turned out to be a success too with a box-office business of Rs. 100 crores

Soon he found his place in big-budget banners with films like ‘Dhamaka’ and ‘ Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2  ’.

However, the success didn’t come easy for the actor and this engineering student.

“I’d crop my face out of group photos to send to agents! All the while I’d skip college to give auditions & my parents didn’t know about any of this,” he said in his post for Humans of Bombay.

He also says that he stayed in the same flat with 12 boys till his third film!

“At the time, my mom was adamant I finish my degree, so while shooting, I gave my exams—& people in the exam hall were clicking photos with me! But I understood that she wanted my future to be secure,” he said in the Humans of Bombay post.

After moving out from Luv Ranjan camp, Kartik went on doing films with Imtiaz Ali, Ashwini Dhir, and Anees Bazmee.

Some of his previous films include ‘Luka Chuppi’, ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ and ‘Love Aaj Kal’ with heroines like Kriti Sanon, Bhumi Pednekar, Ananya Panday, and Sara Ali Khan respectively.
