Manish Krishnanand Pandey is an Indian International cricket player. Pandey was purchased by the Lucknow Super Giants for  Rs. 4.6 crore in the 2022 IPL Auction.

He is a right-handed middle-order batsman. Pandey represented Karnataka in domestic cricket and Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He played as an opening batsman for his farmer IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) and was the first Indian player to score a century in the IPL in the 2009 Indian Premier League.

Pandey was born in Nainital, Uttarakhand, on September 10, 1989, and later moved to Bangalore with his family. For his cricket training, he joined the Karnataka State Cricket Association. Anita Pandey, his sister, was also a former Karnataka cricket player. He was a member of India’s Under-19 World Cup-winning team in Malaysia in 2008.

Pandey was purchased by Mumbai Indians in the 2008 season of IPL. He was then bought by Kolkata Knight Riders in 2014. He played a match-winning inning of 94 against Kings XI Punjab and was awarded Man of the Match. 

Pandey was included in the list of top 10 scorers of 2 IPL seasons, 2014 and 2017. Later he was picked by Sun Risers Hyderabad for Rs.11 crore. He was dropped by most of the IPL 2021 matches due to a lack of form.

On July 14, 2015, Pandey made his One Day International (ODI) debut for India against Zimbabwe. On the same tour, he made his Twenty20 International debut for India on July 17, 2015. 

Pandey represents Karnataka. He was named Karnataka’s captain for the Syed Mushtaq Ali  Trophy in 2021. Pandey leads the team in many domestic tournaments.

In January 2016, his unbeaten maiden ODI century helped India defeat Australia’s 330 with two balls to spare, trying to prevent a whitewash. In January 2016, he was named to the ODI squad for the Australian tour. In the series finale at the Sydney Cricket Ground, he hit a match-winning inning of 104* to help India win its only match.

Pandey married an Indian actress Ashrita Shetty on December 2 2019 in Mumbai.
