Popular Punjabi singer Nachhatar Gill’s wife Dalwinder Kaur has died. She was ill for nearly a month. Dalwinder Kaur’s funeral will take place on November 16, 2022, in the Phagwara Banga road cemetery at 1pm. 

Nachhatar Gill and Dalwinder’s daughter got married on November 14, 2022, and their son’s wedding was scheduled to be held on November 17, 2022.

Who is Nachattar Gill?

Nachattar Gill is a Punjabi musician and songwriter. He was born on November 15, 1968, in the village of Akalgarh near Badesron, Tehsil Garhshankar, Punjab, India. His father was a kirtani, (a hymn singer at a Gurdwara). From his early childhood Nachattar Gill was inclined to music. He and his younger brother also used to sing with his father at the annual program of their village Gurdwara.  

He started his career in the Punjabi music industry in 2001. Nachattar Gill earned major recognition with his solo song Dil Ditta Nahin Si. He also released two religious albums Ardas Karan and Sahib Jinah Diyan Manne in 2006. In 2012, he made his film debut in Gal Sun Ho Gaya. Since then, he has acted in three movies, the most recent of which was Jugaadi Dot Com in 2015.

He is also the recipient of the Punjabi Music Most romantic Ballad of the Year Award. According to celebsagebio, Nachattar Gill’s net worth is a wide estimate of between $1.5 million to $10 million.

On December 12, 2013, Nachattar Gill was detained and arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing a model whom he promised to give a break in his music video. Additionally, the singer was also charged with filming a pornographic video and using it as a form to blackmail her. 

After six months of inquiry, the case was filed in June 2014.  The Punjab police had submitted the charge sheet to the court but he was freed along with Raja, Jagdeep Sohi, and Charandeep Singh Channi after more than three months of judicial custody. 

On the work front, Punjabi music sensation Nachattar Gill also released a song from his album on September 23, 2022. Mitran Di is an upbeat energetic bhangra song released as a lyrical video. The album has 10 tracks that feature Jenny Johal, H Dhami, Gurlez Akhtar, Afsana Khan, and many other known Punjabi singers.
