Rajinikanth is
an Indian film actor who primarily works in Tamil cinema. He was born on December
12, 1950, in the state of Karnataka, India. Before starting his career in the
film industry, he served as a bus conductor for the Karnataka State Transport
Corporation in Bengaluru. It was during
this time that he acted and performed stunts on various platforms.

Apart from Tollywood,
Rajinikanth is also a popular face in Bollywood. having a huge fan base in south India, he is fondly called Rajni sir. During his career in the Indian film industry, he has bagged several awards, including the Filmfare Best Actor Award, Tamil Nadu State Film Award, Kalimamani Award,
Chalavier Sivaji Ganesan Award, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan.

The megastar, on October 25, 2021, receive India’s prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his excellent contribution to the world of Indian Cinema. Dadasaheb Phalke
Award is awarded for excellence in the field of cinema and is awarded by the government.

In April 2021,
the news was first announced by BJP Rajya Sabha MP Prakash Javedkar. On Sunday, a day prior to receiving the biggest award in Indian cinema, Rajinikanth wrote in a letter: “Tomorrow is an important occasion for me with two special landmarks. One, ‘Dadasaheb Phalke award’, being conferred upon me by the Government of India because of the love and support of the people. Second, my daughter Saundarya Vishagan, by her independent efforts, has pioneered the making of a very useful app for people called HOOTE and she is going to introduce it to the world from India.”

According to Rajinikanth, his daughter’s app named HOOTE will allow people to express their thoughts, wishes and ideas just like the do in writing in any language of their choice. Rajinikanth will be launching the app. 

Rajinikanth’s real
name is Shivaji Rao Gaekwad. He lost his mother when he was five years old.  After completing his schooling at Acharya Pathshala in Bangalore, he went to
Vivekananda Balak Sangh, a unit of Ramakrishna Mission.

Although his mother tongue is Marathi, he
has not done any film in it. The actor made his
debut in Apoorva Ranganal in 1975. He has also completed more than 45 years in Indian
Cinema.
