Sudharsan, 20, made quite a stir among fans when he played a magnificent
second-fiddle innings of 35 runs off 30 balls against Punjab Kings, assisting
Gujarat Titans in their pursuit of 190 at the Brabourne.

Sudharsan
was involved in a stunning 101-run stand in 68 balls with opener Shubman Gill
on his IPL debut, laying the groundwork for Rahul Tewatia to perform as the
left-hander slammed 12 runs off the last two balls to secure a thriller for GT.
Sudharsan hit four excellent boundaries and one massive sixer in his first IPL
appearance. From 2019 to 2021, he was a member of the PBKS camp but never played
a game. At the 2019 auction, he was purchased by the Punjab-based franchise for
Rs. 30 lakhs.

Sudharsan who was born 15 October 2001 is an Indian cricketer. He was Alwarpet
CC’s best run-scorer in the 2019/20 Raja of Palayampatti Shield, with 635 runs
at an average of 52.92. On November 4, 2021, he made his Twenty20 debut for
Tamil Nadu in the 2021–22 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He made his List A debut for
Tamil Nadu in the 2021–22 Vijay Hazare Trophy on December 8, 2021.

Sudharsan made his IPL debut for Gujarat Titans on Friday after Vijay Shankar
was ruled out with a back spasm. He is an emerging star for the Tamil Nadu
Premier League 2021, when he became the second-highest run-getter with 358 runs
in eight innings at an average of 71.60 and a strike rate of 143.77 for Lyca
Kovai Kings in their run to the Eliminator. Sai Sudharsan played for Chepauk
Super Gillies in the TNPL before making his debut last year. Sai Sudharsan was
fast-tracked into Tamil Nadu’s white-ball and Ranji Trophy sides after
impressing in the TNPL 2021 with his stroke play.

Sai Sudharsan is from a sporting family. His father, Bharadwaj, is a South Asian (SAF) Games athlete, while his mother, Usha Bharadwaj, is a volleyball player for Tamil Nadu.

Sai Sudharsan brings with him a reputation as a high-scoring player in Chennai’s age-group and league cricket. He rose through the ranks to open the batting for India A alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal in the 2019-20 Under-19 Challenger Trophy. That competition featured players such as Tilak Varma, Ravi Bishnoi, and Priyam Garg.
