TV journalist and anchor Rohit Sardana, who used to work with Aaj Tak, died on Friday from COVID-19 related complications.

Leaving Zee News for Aaj Tak on 2017, Sardana started to host a debate show titled %u2018Dangal’.

Born in Haryana’s Palwal, Sardana completed his graduation in psychology, following it up with a postgraduate degree from Guru Jambeshwar University Science and Technology.

Sardana worked as a copy-editor from March, 2002 to July, 2003, where he reportedly learned the technicalities of the craft, alongside the functioning of a 24X7 news channel.

From 2003 to 2004, Sardana worked as an assistant editor in Sahara Samay.

Since 2004, he was associated to Zee News in roles such as executive editor, anchor, and host.

At the time of his death, Sardana was a senior anchor in the Aaj Tak and hosted %u2018Dangal%u2019, conducting debates with guest panels on various topics.

Formerly, he used to produce %u2018Karmakshetra%u2019, a Hindi show for a primarily Indian viewer base, where he used to analyse political accountability of various politicians.
