Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Ranchi born cricketer who guided India to ICC World Cup glory after 28 years turns 39 today. The former Indian skipper has also guided India to an ICC Champions trophy and an ICC T20 World Cup trophy.

Sakshi Singh Dhoni took to Instagram to wish husband and former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni on his birthday. Sakshi added “Marking the date you were born, another year older, greyed a bit more, become smarter and sweeter. (Literally 😂😂)You are a man who will not be moved by all the sweet wishes and gifts.”

This reminded ardent cricket followers of what Sunil Gavaskar once said about the Indian captain that he could treat fame and failure just alike.
