Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj, who has been grabbing headlines since the day he donned the whites for the country, bought a BMW car, posting the video on his Instagram story.

Siraj 26, returned to Hyderabad after playing a key role in India’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy triumph against Australia.

Siraj, who in Ravi Shastri’s words ‘was the biggest find of the Australian tour, topped the wicket takers charts for India in the four match Test series in Australia. He made his debut in the second Test match at Melbourne, when Mohammed Shami was ruled out of the series with a broken elbow. Coming into a team that saw a 36 run all-out collapse, Siraj not only scalped 13 wickets in the three Test matches but also lead the bowling attack in the last Test.

However, now back from a tedious tour, after battling harsh conditions, Siraj decided to treat himself with a BMW car. The Hyderabad seamer posted the video of the car on his Instagram story.

Earlier in the day, Indian team’s head coach Ravi Shastri had lauded Siraj for battling the racial slurs and overcoming personal loss to perform well and step up for the team. The 26-year-old dismissed seven batsmen in the Gabba Test, recording his best match figures.

Mohammed Siraj has also been named in India’s Test squad that will play Joe Root’s England in a bilateral series starting from February 5.
