Apple announced four new iPhones on Tuesday which will be 5G capable of connecting to the fast new wireless networks which are being upgraded worldwide.
Along with the launch of the new phones, the tech giant made another announcement that would come as great news to Apple fans in India. The company has slashed the prices of its older models - the iPhone 11, iPhone XR and iPhone SE (2020).
Apple has also removed the AirPods and charger from the retail box of the three devices. iPhone 11, iPhone XR and iPhone SE would now be shipped without the charger and headphones. The move is a bid to provide the same experience to all Apple users, as the new iPhone 12 models do not come with charger and AirPods.
For a short while, the company will bundle the AirPods along with the iPhone 11 as a Diwali offer.
Here are the revised prices of the older iPhone models:
iPhone 11 64GB: Rs 54,900
iPhone 11 128GB: Rs 59,900
iPhone 11 256GB: Rs 69,900
iPhone XR 64GB: Rs 47,900
iPhone XR 128GB: Rs 52,900
iPhone SE (2020) 64GB: Rs 39,900
iPhone SE (2020) 128GB: Rs 44,900
iPhone SE (2020) 256GB: Rs 54,900
The new prices are reflecting on Apple's recently launched online store, but are yet to be reflected on e-commerce sites like Amazon and Flipkart.
The new models include the redesigned iPhone 12 -- successor to the top-selling iPhone 11 launched last year -- with a display of 6.1 inches at a starting price of $799, available October 23.
A smaller iPhone 12 mini with a 5.4 inch display will start at $699 and will be in stores November 13.
With more features, the iPhone 12 Pro will launch this month from $999 and the 6.7 inch Pro Max from $1,099 in November, the same levels as their predecessors.
