Kings XI Punjab's Mayank Agarwal, who according to the popular vote is filling the extra-large boots of Chris Gayle in the opening spot, went on to score another well-placed half century in IPL 2020, this time against Rajasthan Royals.
Agarwal who played carefully, scoring 80 runs against the Delhi Capitals, decided to show a different facet of his game as the Punjab batsman reached his second half century of the season in 26 balls.
Unlike the first match, Mayank didn't start slow in this match but attacked right away, dominating the spinners all through the innings. The opener not only hit Tewatia for three consecutive boundaries but also went after Rajasthan's ace leg-spinner Shreyas Gopal.
Punjab reached the 100 run mark without losing a wicket in the the ninth over.
