Basketball superstar LeBron James has never been shy about showing his support for college football team Ohio State Buckeyes and once again the he backed the team ahead of their crucial playoff match against the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Ohio coach Ryan Day has a big task ahead of him as he and his team go into the College Football Playoff National Championship final against Alabama very much as the underdogs.
There were possibilities of the game being rescheduled
While the Crimson Tide are the outright favourites, the Buckeyes believe they can script an upset and will undoubtedly be boosted with the support from their biggest star fan.
James showed up to the Los Angeles Lakers’ NBA clash against the Memphis Grizzlies donning an Ohio State football jersey, proudly displaying his support for Day and his charges.
James is known for cheering on the Buckeyes and gets particularly pumped up whenever they have a shot at a title. In 2017, ahead of Ohio’s Big Ten Championship game, James was seen cheering on then-Buckeyes back JK Dobbins as they downed Wisconsin to lift the title.
And with Alabama boasting of the strongest lineup across the country, and an experienced coach in Nick Saban, the Buckeyes will need all the support that they can get.
