heiress Alexandra Zarini has filed a lawsuit in a US court accusing her
stepfather Joseph Ruffalo of allegedly sexually abusing her over a period of 16 years.

As per Zarini’s
lawsuit, Ruffalo, as music industry player who has worked with ‘Wind & Fire’,
‘Prince and Earth’, subjected her to sexual abuse from the age of six to when
she was about 22.

Zarini is the granddaughter of Aldo Gucci, the man who turned a small Italian
artisanal company into a global fashion brand

Gucci was the oldest son of founder Guccio Gucci and is credited with turning the company into an international success.

Her mother is Patrica Gucci, Aldo’s only daughter with his wife
Bruna Palombo.

Zarini’s maiden name was Losio but she is now married.

Zarini told The New York Times that she is financially
independent from her family and previously worked at an art galary.

Despite not having the surname Gucci herself, Zarini plans to
use it for her children’s foundation.

In a video shared to the Alexandra Gucci Children’s Foundation
YouTube, Zarini revealed she used drugs to cope with the alleged trauma.

However, stepfather Ruffalo has denied the allegations and
Patricia Gucci has claimed that she learned of the alleged abuse in 2007,
reports MailOnline.
