Do you like to indulge in optical illusions from time to time? Well, how would you feel if you encountered one on a person’s face? Creepy, isn’t it? A makeup video recently went viral for reasons that’ll leave you puzzled. Vancouver-based professional make-up artist Mimi Choi came up with a face art that features dozens of lips, noses and eyes. The face art has made many feel uncomfortable with the optical illusions that its laden with.

In the video, the model can be seen applying lip colour to the lips painted on her eyelids. The smirk on her face managed to creep people out and have them talk about the puzzle that the face art is.

Former NBA player Rex Chapman took to Twitter to share the video and tweeted, “When the edibles hit.” His tweet garnered massive engagement and went on to break the internet.

The artist behind the face art, Mimi Choi, received an overwhelming response for her artwork. Some even said that this was probably done under the influence of drugs, so Mimi took to Instagram to clear the air and wrote, “I slept 3 times with my bald cap and illusion on because I got really dizzy and nauseous from painting the side of my head lol.”

She added, “This took around 8 hours to create. I wanted to recreate my old multiple-feature illusions from 2015-2016 to see how much I’ve evolved.”

Mimi Choi is popular for her intricate and artsy make up and optical illusions that rule it. The artist has gone viral for her work time and again, even being the brains behind Ezra Miller’s  2019 Met Gala look.

Earlier, in an interview with the Bustle, she said, “I realized illusion makeup requires a special kind of precision and skill and is the most challenging style I ever tried.”

“Many of my looks are angle-dependent, so it can be a challenge to achieve an impactful look, especially when painting on a surface that isn’t completely flat,” she told Insider after.
