The monsoon
season has brought along some respite from the sweltering heat.
However, the rise in humidity during the monsoon causes an array of skin
problems, especially for those with oily or a combination skin type.

The high
humidity level can easily make your skin look dull – and can lead to frequent
acne breakout. That’s not all, sweat on your skin can clog the pores and become
a problem. So, it is
important to change your skincare routine based on the season.

Take a look at
some of the skincare tips from experts.

Dr. Sushant
Shetty, Head – Medical Operations, Services and Engineering, Kaya Limited told
Opoyi that it is important to cleanse your face at least twice a day with a gentle cleanser to remove excess oil and sweat build up.

“Avoid
touching your face or else you could start seeing breakouts and acne. If you
want to wipe your face, do so by using a face wipe,” he tells us.

He adds,
“Use a moisturizer that has a mattifying effect to avoid your face from looking
shiny or greasy.”

It is essential to take proper care and having a regular skincare regime in such weather

The rainy
weather can make your skin unpredictable – not just oily and acne-prone, the
skin sometimes feel dehydrated and dry. This means that it is essential to take
proper care and having a regular skincare regime in such weather.

Ritika
Jayaswal, CEO & Founder Nourish Mantra tells us how nourishing our skin
with natural ingredients is the best
care possible.

“The need of
the hour today is a proper skincare routine that includes- cleansing,
exfoliating, which keeps your skin free from any impurities. Following it with
a nourishing serum or facial oil and locking it with a moisturiser.”

Avoid touching your face or else you could start seeing breakouts and acne.

Cleansing:

It is
important to cleanse your skin with a cleanser that is gentle on your skin to
get rid of any impurities without drying it.

Exfoliation:

Exfoliating
the skin is equally important since it helps in removing any dead skin cells on
your face, thus reducing the chances of any sebum build-up that may result in
acne or pimples.

Nourishing:

A good
nourishing serum is the best you can give to your skin. It actually helps in
repairing your skin keeping it protected from any harsh pollutants in the
air.

Moisturising:

A nourishing
moisturizer in your skincare routine is very important regardless of what skin
type you have. Keeping your skin hydrated and moisturised is very important for
a healthy supple look. Opt for a facial moisturiser which has SPF that protects
your skin from UV Rays.

Here are some of the
home remedies you can follow for your skin this season.

– Mix
fuller’s earth (Multani mitti) with rose water to make a smooth paste. You can
add a dash of camphor for better results. Store the paste in the refrigerator
in an air-tight container.

– Mix besan,
lemon, rose water, and turmeric to make a fine paste. Apply it on your face and
let it dry for 20 minutes.

This rainy season, keep your skin
healthy!
