Women’s day is just around the corner and if you want to make the day extra special for your partner, then now is the time to start preparing for it. While every person is different and would love different things, there are some basic things that you can do to make the day special for her.

Give her a break from household chores

On the special day, let her take some much needed rest and take all the responsibility of laundry, cleaning, dishwashing and the other stuff. If you have the perfect household where both of you share all the responsibilities then it would not be that much of a burden for you, and if she does most of the work then it would be a good head start for you to start helping her because that is how things should be.

Taking care of the kids

Now this is something for the couples with kids (obviously!).  Kids need equal attention from both their parents because each of them have different roles to play in a child’s life. It often comes down to the good cop, bad cop things. Now if you love your child and are a responsible parent, then completely taking care of your child for a day should not be that much of a deal.

Cooking a meal for her

If you as a couple believe in the golden rule of “everyone should know how to cook because it is a basic life/survival skill” then you have probably been cooking on a regular basis. Therefore this might be the time to make a fancy meal and impress your partner. And if not, then click here to learn some simple yet cool recipes you can cook for her on 8th as well as start building the habit of helping in the kitchen.

Having said that, a partner should be treated with love and care throughout the year. But women deserve it more because they deal with more problems than men. Years of oppression, inequality, patriarchy, these are only a few things that women have faced and still face that men do not. So a loving partner, who makes Women’s Day special for her is the least she deserves.
