Hundreds of QAnon supporters gathered in downtown Dallas on
Tuesday afternoon in the hopes of seeing John F. Kennedy Jr., who they expect
to announce the reinstatement of Donald Trump as president.

The supporters gathered in downtown Dallas for the
first time on Monday night. There were several people near Dealey Plaza,
where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963, around 1 PM on
Tuesday.

Kennedy’s son died in an aircraft crash in 1999 at the
age of 38, but some QAnon conspiracy theorists claim he has been hiding for the
last 22 years. According to Newsweek, they believe John F. Kennedy Jr. will
resurface in the plaza before midnight Tuesday.

After Trump was reinstalled as president, a highly
following QAnon social media account predicted that he would resign and JFK Jr.
would take over. According to Newsweek, Trump would then pick former National
Security Adviser Michael Flynn as his vice president, and he would eventually
become the “king of kings.”

Jared Holt, a resident fellow at the Atlantic Council’s
Digital Forensic Research Lab who studies domestic extremism, said,
“Frankly, I’m kind of shocked at how many people turned out for
this.”

“This wasn’t a widespread belief, even among QAnon
followers,” the person added.

The QAnon conspiracy theory revolves around allegiance to
Trump, whose followers think will demolish a secretive “Deep State”
comprised of pedophilic politicians and celebrities.

The FBI and other law enforcement organisations have warned
that the organization’s supporters may engage in real-world violence. On Jan.
6, QAnon supporters were well-represented at the U.S. Capitol insurgency.

QAnon, according to Holt, is an umbrella organisation whose
various factions do not necessarily agree on doctrine. He believes the tragedy
on Tuesday was caused by numerology-obsessed discussion groups.

JFK Jr. was expected to reveal himself on Tuesday,
according to posts on those channels, but Holt said he didn’t understand why
believers chose Dallas, the site of his father’s death, of all places, to do
so.
