Prada, Gucci and some more brands set the runway on fire with vibrant colours and patterns in cut-out silhouettes. While knitwear can be fun to wear, some things should be kept in mind while shopping and caring for them.

Here some common mistakes to avoid while shopping for knitwear:

Not looking out for fabric composition

While shopping, one should always look for natural and biodegradable fibres such as 100% wool or recycled material. Cotton, linen and polyester are also available as knitwear fabric, but they might not be helpful when the temperature dips.

Construction/built

It is always advisable to go for harder and tighter yarn since softer and more loose yarns tend to lose shape and structure over time.

Follow the care instructions

Wool does not require a wash after outings, but it is advisable to follow the cleaning instructions. While some fabric need dry wash, some need hand care,

Drying and storing

Since it is common for knitwear to take the shape of hangers, it is best to carefully fold and store them in a dry area, away from any direct heat.
