July 5 marks International Bikini Day. On this day in 1946, the two-piece attire was invented by French designer Louis Réard after World War II to match the liberated moods of celebrating Europeans.

Fashion trends have come and gone since then, but the bikini has survived and is an all-time favourite with beach lovers. While the past two COVID-hit years have spelled doom for travel and tourism, many states have now started opening up, keeping the safety protocols in place.

If this season, you are looking for a beach to flaunt your body and your bikini and yet stay away from the crowd, we have drawn up a perfect list for you.
