No party is
complete without delicious kebabs being served on the table for starters. You
can always team these moist and juicy kebabs with spicy mint chutney along with
sliced onions on the side. 

We know that
kebabs are usually referred to as minced meaty patties, but there are different
kinds of kebabs that you can indulge in if you are a vegetarian. After all, why
should meat lovers have all the fun?

Dahi ke kebab

This is one
of the most popular vegetarian snack options to prepare for a get together.

Ingredients:

1.5 cups
hung yogurt

¼ cup besan

1 tablespoon
coriander leaves, finely chopped

1 teaspoon finely
chopped chilies

2
tablespoons finely chopped onions

Salt to
taste

1 teaspoon
cumin powder

Oil for
frying

Method:

Mix all the
ingredients except the ghee, and chill for an hour.

Shape the
mixture into flat rounds (like tikkis) and pan fry over medium heat till brown
on both sides.

Cook on both
sides.

Serve hot
with green chutney.

Beetroot kebab

Ingredients:

1 cup grated
beatroot

½ packet
firm tofu

½ tablespoon
garlic paste

1 tablespoon
amchoor powder

1 tablespoon
roasted anardana

¼ cup
chopped cashew nuts

½ crushed
oats to coat

Salt to
taste

Oil for
frying

Method:

Take a bowl
and put the grated beetroot, the tofu followed by garlic, chaat masala,
amchoor, salt, and anardana.

Mince with
your hands and make round patties.

Stuff the
chopped cashews as a filling.

Coat the
patties with crushed oat powder.

In a flat
pan heat the oil and lightly fry these.

Serve with
green chutney.
