One of the most delightful seasons of the year, the monsoon, is here and as much as we enjoy its showers and breezes, it might not be the favourite period for our skin, especially the ones with oily skin texture. Adverse humidity, moisture and insects active in the rainy season can lead to acne and various skin infections. Thus, you need to be very careful of what we apply on our face and use some special remedies to keep our skin acne-free and healthy.

Here are a few simple tips to keep your skin healthy and acne-free during monsoons.

Neem fruit

Neem fruit, an excellent herb is often used in various medicines and skin-related products. However, its direct application on acne and skin inflammation works wonders for the skin and most importantly, it is easily available everywhere. Gently massage the insides of the neem fruit on the acne or acne-prone areas and leave it to dry. Wash the area with a gentle cleanser. Do this daily to get rid of skin-related issues in monsoons.

Honey-sugar scrub

Honey contains many important antioxidants and is rich in Vitamin B6, vitamin C and amino acids, some of the beneficial skin nutrients. When mixed with brown sugar, its benefits grows manifold. Mix one tablespoon of honey with three tablespoons of brown sugar and lightly scrub your face with this mixture. Wash off after 15 minutes.

Steam

Taking regular steams is one of the best ways to deep cleanse your face and a clean face is always acne and inflammation-free. Steaming also opens pores that help get rid of acne from the root.

Potato juice

Potato juice is a natural face bleach and also makes the skin less oily if applied carefully. It helps fades acne scars and deeply cleanse the skin. Grate a piece of potato and extract juice from that paste. Evenly apply it on the face and do not keep it for more than 10 minutes. Wash it off with normal water. Happy acne-free skin to you!
