Bigg Boss Season 15 is proving to be a flop! The season may have started off on a high note, but the last few weeks have been a roller-coaster ride. The show’s creators appear to have lost track of the plot, and it’s far from entertaining. Why shouldn’t fans be irritated? Favouritism, repeating contestants, a boring “story,” and lack of work are just a few of the issues. We’ve created a list of reasons why we’re disappointed with this season of the reality show.

At first, it began with Maisha Iyer and Ishaan Sehgal, and then it was Tejasswi Prakash and Karan Kundrra. Is the audience fed up with the romance angle, or is it only unique to this season? Both love stories look forced. While social media was far more vehement in trolling the former and called them fake and even “vulgar,” # TejRan also doesn’t look very convincing. For sure, Tejasswi and Karan are big stars on TV and have a fan following, but one wonders if the connection is just for votes! It’s difficult to fathom when and how the duo really started falling for each other!

What’s the deal with bringing back the same participants from previous seasons as wild card entries? Devoleena Bhattacharjee was a wild card in Season 13 and then as Eijaz Khan’s proxy in Season 14, and she’s back in Season 15! And, while we enjoyed Rashami Desai in Season 13, why would we want to see her in Season 14? The whole point of the wild card entries was to add to the element of surprise.

But there’s nothing unexpected about this! Season 15 features a number of over-the-top contestants, and the wild cards are no exception. Another former contestant has joined the show! Yes, Rakhi Sawant is entertaining and appears with her “mystery” spouse, Ritesh, which is being touted as the season’s selling point, but it once again demonstrates that the producers have run out of ideas to entertain the audience. Rakhi Sawant has previously been in two seasons. They’re being referred to as “asli VIPs,” but don’t forget that none of them took home the trophy!

The OTT had far too many participants. Didn’t Pratik Sehjapal win the BiggBoss 15 ticket?

After withdrawing from the battle to win the trophy at the Bigg Boss OTT finals, Pratik secured a ticket to Bigg Boss 15. But that assignment is no longer relevant, as Shamita Shetty and Nishant Bhat, who finished third and second in the OTT season, respectively, have joined the show. Raqesh Bapat and Neha Bhasin were also brought on board, albeit for a limited time. There’s an element of sadness here. Also, why are we watching a new show in the first place?

Shamita Shetty: Favoritism

Shamita Shetty’s favouritism by Bigg Boss is tough to ignore. Shamita has irritated viewers with her violent behaviour against Afsana Khan and her “insensitive” handling of her co-contestant’s mental health difficulties, as well as her “I am always right” and “I am always fair” attitude. What’s more surprising is that neither the producers nor the host called her out on her behaviour. Also, have a look at the participants who were added later: Rajiv Adatia’s Rakhi-brother, Raqesh Bapat’s alleged “lover,” and Neha Bhasin! While the last two are no longer on the show, it’s hard to blame the public for believing that the producers are turning the spotlight on one contender after another with gifts. Bigg Boss is all about living in a house with strangers and making friends. However, one contender in particular seemed to have all of the outside backing this time.

What’s with tasks?

Last but not least, what are the tasks that make Bigg Boss what it is? The tasks had little relevance for this season from the beginning. At first, OTT candidates Nishant Bhat, Pratik Sehajpal, and Shamita ruled the junglewasis, not because they aced some tasks, but because the producers thought OTT candidates would have the advantage. Then, when it came to the VIP room task, Umar Riaz, the house’s then captain, chose the candidates of his own free will, not because of any job. Vishal Kotian, who has now been eliminated, was the final candidate to join the VIPs and the only one who was able to obtain extra benefits by completing a task. This season has few challenges in general, and it appears that the public will have to put up with the candidates’ talking. The chats, on the other hand, are equally uninteresting!
