National Cat day is celebrated on October 29 to create awareness about numerous cats needing shelter. It is celebrated to encourage the adoption of homeless felines and promote responsible ownership, which means spaying or neutering your cat and educating ourselves about the impact of buying cats from pet mills, which breed pets for sale and keep them in inhumane conditions.
