Selected McDonald’s outlets in the United States will distribute the regular-sized caramel brownie McFlurry for absolutely free on May 4, the American fast-food giant had announced. McDonald's said that the free ice cream mix is for anyone who has mistaken the McFlurry spoon for a straw.

This is an attempt of McDonald's to ‘celebrate’ their new caramel brownie flavor. A customer could avail the offer only on the regular size caramel brownie Mcflurry.

This news by McDonald's buzzed on the internet all week as customers - excited to get a free ice-cream mix - went to the outlets on Tuesday.

However, many of them were disappointed for they could find only broken ice-cream machines on the day the fast-food company had to give away free McFlurrys. One Twitter user went on to describe this offer by McDonald's as a marketing tactic. Another one went on to call it a ‘Conspiracy’.

 

McDonald's offer on its mobile application also said that customers can get the Caramel Brownie McFlurry for free via the delivery app Uber Eats with a $15 or more purchase. The offer started on Monday and will go on till Wednesday.
