Shoppers were startled when they witnessed a bear cub roaming the aisle at a Los Angeles supermarket. Local media showed visuals of the small bear strolling the aisles on Saturday at the Ralphs store in the Porter Ranch area of the San Fernando Valley.
According to the video, which is widely circulated on different social media platforms, the bear sniffed the items and then eventually made his way out of the supermarket.
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife found the 120-pound (54-kilogram) animal hiding under a trailer at a construction site behind a nearby Walmart.
The bear was tranquilised and released into the Angeles National Forest, the department said.
American actress Tisha Campbell Martin, who was at the supermarket, recorded the whole incident and uploaded it on her Instagram account.

“We were just calmly arriving at the store. I didn’t even imagine what we were going to find,” news agency reuters quoted a shopper Rubi Nevarez as saying.
“As far as I know, this is the second time this has happened,” the shopper added.
However, it wasn’t clear what the bear was looking for as the big, furry animal left the store without causing any damaged.
“The bear went out by itself after seeing all the commotion he caused,” Nevarez added.
According to local media, another bear visited the same store on August 18 and left with a bag of tortilla chips.
Tweeting the video, Mike Sington, a senior executive at NBCUniversal, said: “Bear wanders into California supermarket and leaves with a bag of tortilla chips. I don’t know what the big deal is, I did the same thing once when I was drunk at 2 in the morning.”
