Weddings
are a big deal in India. Big fat weddings, small intimate weddings, destination
weddings, temple weddings, name it. Another such wedding is the one that
was making headlines. Except, there’s a catch. The bride and groom are no
more than 3 feet tall!

Yes,
you read that right.

When
a three-foot-tall (36-inch) guy married a 2.8-foot-tall (34-inch) bride in
Bhagalpur’s Navgachia, residents were curious and enthusiastic.

On
April 2, Mamta Kumari, the daughter of Kishori Mandal, wedded Munna Bharti, the
son of Bindeshwari Mandal. They hail from Navagachia’s Abhiya Bazar and
Masaru, respectively.

Needless
to say, the wedding of Mamta and Munna was nothing short of a celebrity
wedding. Hundreds of excited guests (suffice to say many were
uninvited) flocked to see the bride and groom.

groom’s father reportedly told IANS in an interview.

The
couple’s wedding images have been extensively shared on social media.

Individuals
on social media congratulated the couple, but some were indignant that people
showed up to the wedding uninvited simply to take selfies.

“Made
for each other,” one user commented. “God bless them,” wrote
another.

“They
are simply normal persons, let them enjoy their happy moment,” another
commenter remarked.

“Some
matches are created in heaven,” said another hinting at their heights and
the fact that they found each other in the same village.
