Zomato has also been in the news lately as Zomato shares fell 6% to Rs 66.50 on Monday’s NSE intraday session after the firm’s board approved the acquisition of quick-commerce company Blinkit in an all-stock deal for Rs 4,447 crore (approximately $567 million). Zomato will purchase 33,018 shares of equity in Blink Commerce Pvt Ltd.

According to Zomato, the purchase is in line with the company’s goal of investing in the quick commerce segment.
