Tessica Brown, a woman hailing from Louisana, had to seek medical help after she mistakenly used Gorilla Glue spray instead of hair spray.

In a video posted on Instagram that went viral, Brown revealed that her hair had been stuck in the same for a month since she used industrial-strength glue, substituting her usual Got2b Glued spray when she ran out. Brown, in the video that was originally posted on TikTok, said, “My hair, it don’t move. You hear what I’m telling you? It don’t move.”

Brown said she has washed her hair ’15 times,’ while in another video, according to CNN, she was seen slathering on shampoo that did not penetrate her hair.

The Gorilla Glue is 100% waterproof and is generally used for fixing bathroom tiles, wood flooring, and decking, as per the company’s website, which also says that it can be removed with acetone or isopropyl alcohol.

The glue company reached out to Brown on Twitter, writing, “Hi there, we are sorry to learn about your experience! We do not recommend using our products in hair as they are considered permanent.” It further said, “You can try soaking the affected area in warm, soapy water or applying rubbing alcohol to the area.”

Brown on Saturday updated her followers on Instagram on her hair condition, posting images of herself checking into a hospital in Louisiana’s Chalmette in an effort to remove the glue.

In another post, she uploaded a photo of some acetone and sterile water, saying, “This is really about to be a long process.”
