A man from Congo recently tied the knot thrice after three sisters proposed to him simultaneously. 

Luwizo, a polygamous man, married the trio of sisters in Kalehe, a town in the Democratic Republic of Congo. 

Elucidating the decision, Luwizo said that he felt obliged to accept the three proposals and could not say no to Nadege, Natalie, and Natasha. “I was obliged to marry all of them because they are triplets. It wasn’t an easy decision because until now, my parents don’t understand what I’m doing,” he told Mirror. 

Although he married the trio, Luwizo added that he initially fell in love with Natalie. While the wedding was attended by close friends and family, the groom’s parents refused to be a part of the ceremony.

“You have to lose something in order to gain another. In addition, one has their preferences and their own way of doing things. So I’m happy to marry the triplets no matter what others think. My parents despised my decision that’s why they didn’t attend my wedding. But all I can say is love has no limits,” Luwizo added. 

One of the three sisters explained that because they shared everything since childhood, sharing a husband did not feel like a  difficult challenge for them.

According to a local media report, one of the sisters was quoted saying, “When we told him he had to marry all of us, he was shocked. But because he had already fallen in love with all of us, nothing could stop our plans since we were also in love with him.”

“Even though people considered it impossible for three women to share one husband, to us, sharing everything has been our life since childhood. Today we are very happy, as you can see, because our dreams came true without being separated by husbands, but God heard our prayers,” she added.
