Bears are magnificent creatures, both big and furry. A video of a grizzly bear jumping up and down with children at the Saint Louis Zoo in Missouri, US, took over social media.

There was no danger of an attack because the bear was behind a glass enclosure half-filled with water. The children and the bear appeared to be having a great time together.

In western North America, brown and black bears are the most common. They are occasionally referred to as brown bears, but the true brown bear is much larger.

Within an hour of being shared, the video had received over 10,000 views. Several people have expressed delight at seeing the massive bear imitate and play with the children.

Bear sightings are surprisingly common in some parts of the United States. These animals will occasionally visit human habitations and take a stroll down the street.

A video of a bear walking down a street in Asheville, North Carolina, went viral on social media last month. People in the area were taken aback when they saw it. Later, the bear climbed a tree in the neighbourhood as well.

According to Dave Garshelis, a bear research scientist with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, approximately one black bear in a million may attack a human in a predatory manner.

Black bears are typically not aggressive because they are afraid of the consequences of attacking someone. They are fearful animals who do not wish to attack humans.
