The often-noted behavioural similarities between human beings
and primates once again provided to be entertainment for the netizens as a clip uploaded on Twitter shows an Indonesian Macaque curiously
checking out a camera in the country’s Tangkoko Nature Reserve.

The video, uploaded by journalist Yashar Ali, portrayed the
macaque seemingly trying to mimic the photographer’ action while clicking a picture,
as it moved the camera sideways and even looked into the screen of the device.

“@MogensTrolle was taking photos in Indonesia’s Tangkoko
Nature Reserve when he got up to stretch his legs. When he came back, he found
this wild black crested macaque using his camera like a human being. Our
primate cousins learn almost everything by mimicking”, Ali captioned the video.

Mogens Trolle, the photographer in question, is a wildlife photographer,
as well as a Danish zoologist and wildlife researcher.
