It is a
Sunday morning, the school’s off. The day is well planned in advance. Suddenly, you
wake up to a smashing sound and find a big, peculiar flying object parked on
the playground before your house. The smoke comes out and there they are-
Aliens. They don’t look like humans, 1 eye, 4 hands, and 3 legs. They are
marching towards us with the evil intention of abducting the entire human race.
That’s when your mom asks you to wake up and come out for breakfast. Crazy
right? Isn’t it a nightmare of every 90s kid?

However, the
possibility of UFOs and even aliens are not completely ruled out by the experts but
surely the phenomenon is nothing like the news channel drama that we usually
get to see. Today, on the occasion of World UFO Day, we have compiled a list of
some of the most credible UFO sightings ever reported, minus the sensation.

New Jersey
Turnpike spotting of 2001

One of
the busiest roadways in the world, New Jersey Turnpike that stops for no one
witnessed an unprecedented cease of motions on July 15, 2001, when a motorist stopped
for almost 15 minutes to marvel at the sight of strange orange-and-yellow lights in a
V formation over the Arthur Kill Waterway between Staten Island reported ABC. According
to History network Carteret Police Department’s Lt. Daniel Tarrant was one of the witnesses of the phenomenon.

Authorities initially denied that any airplanes, military jets or space flights could have caused the mysterious lights, but a group known as the New York Strange Phenomena Investigators (NY-SPI) claimed to receive FAA radar data that corroborated the UFO sightings from that night.

 The USS Nimitz spotting of 2004

 The USS Princeton, part of the USS Nimitz carrier strike group claimed that they saw an unknown craft on radar 100 miles off the coast of San Diego on November 14, 2004. The investigation for 80,000 feet objects went on for almost two weeks.

Then two FA-18F fighter jets from the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz spotted what appeared to be churning water, with a shadow of an oval shape underneath the surface. Black Aces Commander David Fravor and Lt. Commander Jim Slaight of Strike Fighter Squadron 41 attempted to intercept the craft that accelerated away almost three times the speed of sound and more than twice the speed of the fighter jets.

 O’Hare International Airport spotting of 2006 

Located on the northwest of Chicago, O’Hare International Airport had flight Flight 446 ready to fly on November 7, 2006. During the flight, a United Airlines employee on the tarmac noted a dark grey metallic craft hovering over gate C17. Apart from him another 11 employees spotted the saucer-like aircraft around 4:15 p.m, according to The Chicago Tribune.

This spotting became the most-read story on The Chicago Tribune’s website to that date and made international news. However, because the UFO was not seen on radar, the FAA called it a weather phenomenon and declined to investigate.

Go fast video of 2015

 US Navy F/A- 18 Super Hornet in 2015,  captured a video that showed a strange encounter with an unidentified flying object. It was witnessed along the East Coast above the Atlantic Ocean. Authorities to date have given no explanation for this phenomenon.
