b. Morris David Morris

c. A Lewis

d. Sidney Alexander

Answer: Morris David Morris.

The Physical Quality Life Index is a way of measuring the quality of life in a country. It take three factors into account. These are - the literacy rate, infant mortality rate and the life expectancy of one year olds in that country. A country is ranked from 0 to 100 on each of these parameters.

It was developed by Morris David Morris in the 1970s. Until then, the Gross National Income was seen as a measure of well being of a country's citizens. But it was found that the GNI was not a very accurate representation of a country's well being.

Another index that maps the quality of life in a country is the Human Development Index by the United Nations.
