Pokemon TCG Live coming To PC, Mac and Mobile
- Pokemon TCG Live will allow players to transfer real cards from their collection to the video game
- Additional features like online matching and the battle pass's spending trap will be improved
- One element that is noticeably absent is the option to trade with other players
Some Pokemon enthusiasts may like the trading card game as well. Some of them even take it online, using the official Pokemon TCG Online. However, owing to its age, the business is retiring the old platform in favor of the new Pokemon Trading Card Game Live.
Much like the previous edition, Pokemon TCG Live will allow you to transfer real cards from your collection to the video game version by using digital codes found in booster packs. You may obtain new cards straight from the game by using cash gained through daily missions and other activities.
Improvements over TCG Online include additional features like online matching and the battle pass's spending trap. Despite the fact that it is not the major focus of the game, you may customize your avatar.
One element that is noticeably absent is the option to trade with other players. Cards, unopened booster packs, and other accessories such as card sleeves are all included. This is unusual for a digital trading card game.
Existing Pokemon TCG Online players will also have a portion of their card library moved to TCG Live. The term partly is important here since there are several obvious exceptions. Only four copies of a unique card will be transferred, and for an ACE SPEC or Prism Star card, this number drops to one. as well as each component of a Pokemon V-UNION card. However, you can carry up to 59 energy cards with you. Older cards will also not be transferred over, which is a blow for Legacy players.
The Pokemon TCG Live will have a soft launch on mobile in Canada and a global open beta for PC and Mac later this year, but no specific date has been set. Naturally, this applies to when the game will be officially started. However, prior to the complete debut, the previous TCG Online will be taken down.
